First Chinese Baptist Church of Dallas

English Ministry

While exiled on the island of Patmos, the Apostle John received an incredible revelation from Jesus Christ that we now call the Book of Revelation. In this magnificent vision, Christ gave John seven messages for seven specific first-century churches in Asia Minor. Some may say that these words are no longer relevant in our 21st Century context. However, we see based on what these seven churches faced, that not much has changed over the coarse of 2000 years. There is still so much in these letters that we can glean and learn from today.

So come and join us beginning Sunday, October 1 as we take a look at this incredible vision in our 7 Letters to 7 Churches series. Our English Worship Service meets at 11am in the Gym of First Chinese Baptist Church of Dallas.

How does a Christian behave when surrounded by a hostile-world that doesn't understand who we are or why we do what we do? In three letters, Peter and Jude provide some answers: Abandon the old pagan ways. Learn the new habit of love. Put on the mental armor that will make you strong to face suffering that may come. These 9 studies show you the wisdom of their words for us today and remind you, in the midst of the hardship, that the God who deserves all praise is still "the One who is able to keep you standing upright."

Join us at 9:45a on Sunday mornings as we study these NT books together using study guides from noted pastor and teacher N. T. Wright. We will be meeting in back room of the gymnasium.

Our English Ministry will be participating in the next Feed My Starving Children MobilePack Event on Saturday, November 11 from 8am-10am at Binnerri Presbyterian Church in Richardson. Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food to people in developing nations. During this event volunteers will be packing MannaPack meals for starving children around the world.

If you would like to participate, please email Pastor Andrew at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . We only have 25 volunteer slots available so first-come-first-serve.

The goal of our Community Groups is to create a predictable small group environment where participants experience authentic community and spiritual growth. We believe that true and sustained life change happens best in the context of a structured relationship. Out of rows and into circles. And the best expression of these relationships is found in the small group ministry.

Community Groups are where real life and real issues are discussed and shared. It’s a safe environment where we celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another during the tough and disappointing times. It’s also a place to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. We are planning to launch new Community Groups in September 2016.
